Associate Veterinarian
Ashley Woods graduated in 2011 from Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine. She has a Bachelor’s in English from Oberlin College and a Masters in Animal Science from Prairie View A&M University. She has been with Sunset since 2014 in various roles. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, dermatology, alternative medicine, and behavior. She has also done training at the Chi Institute in acupuncture. She loves creating strong bonds with her clients and their pets. She currently owns two dogs, Sunset rescues, and one cat who she adopted in vet school. She has twin girls and in her free time; she enjoys reading, reality shows, travelling and spending time with her family.

Dr. Chang
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Chang graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. His clinical interests are emergency medicine, ultrasound, ophthalmology, and soft tissue surgery. In his free time, he enjoys listening to podcasts, cycling, running, hiking and meditation. He has a two-legged cat named Ami who led to his decision in becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Chang has competed in the National Intercollegiate Games in Taiwan and won two silver medals. Dr. Chang looks forward to meeting new clients and their pets.

Dr. Cho
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Yonghwan Cho is a dedicated veterinarian based in Houston, Texas, where he was called home for the past six years. Originally trained at Louisiana State University and licensed through the ECFVG program, Dr. Cho has developed a strong passion for emergency and critical care medicine. Known for his calm demeanor and sharp clinic instincts, he thrives in fast-paced environments where his expertise can make a life-saving difference.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Cho enjoys mornings with a cup of coffee and unwinding with movies- Mission: Impossible being his all-time favorite series. He shares his home with his cat, Nyx, a fiercely independent feline with dog-like quirks and a notable dislike for other cats.
Whether he’s treating patients or enjoying a quiet evening with a movie, Dr. Cho brings thoughtfulness, curiosity, and a grounded sense of care to everything he does.

Dr. Lopez-Calleja
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Enrique was born and raised in Miami, FL. He graduated from St. Matthews University and finished his clinical year at the University of Georgia. Initially wanting to pursue a career in exotics and wildlife medicine, six years as a zookeeper and two more as a veterinary technician for exotic animals steered him towards small animal emergency medicine. He currently lives in Richmond, Texas with his wife Melissa who is also a veterinarian and son Enrique. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, the outdoors, reading and cooking.

Dr. Pitts
Associate Veterinarian
Taylor Pitts graduated from St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She has a bachelors degree in Animal Science from McNeese State University. Her clinical interests include surgery and dentistry, but she also really enjoys puppy and kitten wellness visits. She has three dogs: a border collie mix (Oakley), a German Shepherd (Severus), and a Belgian Malinois (Raven). She also has a cat (Aurora) and a ball python (Cher). In her downtime she enjoys travelling with her family and taking her son to different parks.

Dr. Lane
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Lane was born and raised in Houston, TX. After graduating from Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, he completed a rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group in Los Angeles, CA. This 12-month program provided an emphasis on surgery, neurology, emergency medicine, oncology and internal medicine. Dr. Lane then spent two years at a private practice in Dallas before moving back to his hometown. In his free time, Dr. Lane enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching Houston sports, and exploring all of the amazing restaurants around town.

Dr. Arnold
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Lauren Arnold graduated from Texas A&M University with her DVM in 2024. She also earned her Bachelors and a Certificate in Equine Science in 2019 from A&M as well. She is a Texas native, originally from Dallas. Her clinical interests are emergency medicine, surgery, exotic animals and feline medicine. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Houston, travelling, reading, and working with her horse. Her furbabies are an appendix quarter horse named Spartan, a pit bull mix named Athena, four cats; Teeter, Belle, Ducky, and Little Lady, two snakes Petal and Popcorn, a rabbit named Benjamin, and a tank full of goldfish.”

Dr. Allen
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Allen was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor of science in entomology. She attended Western University of Health Sciences for veterinary school and worked in Scottsdale, Arizona before returning to Houston, Texas. Her medical interests include public health and emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys volleyball, watching movies, and reading books. She has two dogs, Baxter and Pup Pup.
