Sunset Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility equipped with a highly trained medical and kennel care team. Boarding for Dogs & Cats
From the moment your pet enters our hospital to the moment they leave, they will receive loving, attentive care from our team. All dogs and cats are required to be up to date on their vaccinations and annual examinations. A technician will examine your pet from head to tail – evaluating their general appearance, including their teeth, ears, eyes, skin, and coat. Each pet’s health records will be reviewed, and they will receive a full flea and tick evaluation upon arrival. If there are any notable findings during the exam, our technicians will contact you immediately so we can get started with providing the appropriate medical care, including vaccinations, pest-control, etc.
Daily care provided to your pet at minimum will include:
- Feeding
- Fresh water every day
- Personal playtime twice a day
- Walking for dogs or playtime for cats
- Full cleaning and sanitizing of kennels and cages no less than 2x per day
It is recommended that you bring your pet’s regular food along with them in order to prevent further disruption to their regular routine and changes to their diet. We do have food available at our facility for both dogs and cats if preferred – Science Diet Sensitive Stomach for our canine guests, and Science Diet Optimal Care for our feline guests. If your pet takes medication, our medically trained staff will administer this as needed. We offer medication administration, extra-care boarding, and bathing with an additional fee to our regular boarding packages.
While many pets remain calm and relaxed while boarding with us, it is possible for your pet to become stressed in an unfamiliar environment. Our boarding facility is housed within our full-service veterinary hospital. Our doctors are available 24/7 to provide additional care and treatment as needed.

In addition to boarding, we provide bathing for both dogs and cats staying within our facility! Though we cannot provide full grooming services, we do have the ability to give your pet a cleansing bath to send them home smelling fresh and clean.
